Hanna Kaczmarczyk

President of Mycological Section

I’m a third-year Bachelor of Biology student at Jagiellonian University. My main interests in mycology are medicinal mushrooms, fungi-animal interactions, and the evolution of fungi. My BA thesis focuses on psilocybin mushrooms and their therapeutic use. In my spare time, I love to travel, take photos (of mushrooms, of course!), and create art.

Zuzanna Płoszka

Vice president of Mycological Section

I’m a second year undergraduate Biology student at the Jagiellonian University. My research focuses on the ecology of entomophthoralean fungi. I’m interested in various insect-fungus interactions and broader evolutionary topics. In spare time I like to learn about every little organism I meet outside:)

Natalia Kamińska

I’m a 3rd year undergradute Biology student at the Jagiellonian University. My main interests include biology of lichens, ecotoxicology and tropical ecology. Additionally, I work at the Laboratory of Ecochemistry of the IB of PAS.

I’m a second-year Bachelor of Biology student at Jagiellonian University. My research focuses primarily on plant physiology, but I’m also deeply interested in mycorrhizal interactions, especially those involving orchids, and forest mycology. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains and identifying all the creatures I encounter

Maja Jurczyńska

I’m a third-year Bachelor of Biology student at Jagiellonian University. My main interests are interactions between fungi and animals, especially the parasitic ones. Besides mycology, I am president of Herpetology Section of our Student Naturalist Association. My current research focuses on pathogenic Batrachochytrium fungi and environmental factors impacting its widespread presence in amphibian populations. Whenever I’m not studying I love to spend my time in nature (with our lovely organising committee ;)) or at the cinema.

Zuzanna Bielańska

I’m a third-year Bachelor of Biology student at Jagiellonian University. My main interests are nature conservation and plant ecology. I am vice president of Botanical Section of our Student Naturalist Association. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking and I am training to become a mountain guide.
